Application Deadlines

We do not have grant application deadlines; however we help grant seekers with their timing by asking that they send their application at least 90 days before they would like to have a decision from our board of directors.

Our board considers grant proposals six times each year in February, April, June, August, October and December.

Example

How should I time my grant request to the Dekko Foundation?

Say that you are planning a summer camp for students. The ideal timing to send your Dekko Foundation grant application might be early October. That way the Foundation would receive your proposal, research it and discuss it with you, and then consider it in December.

This would give you all of January and February to gear up for the marketing/promotion and details of the camp. Then, in March, you would be ready to list your camp in publications that promote summer camps. You might also want to hold an open house etc.

By beginning early to think about your camp and what you want to accomplish, you’ll increase the likelihood that your camp will benefit young people and be a big success over all!
