Our Present

At the Dekko Foundation we work to accomplish our mission in two ways:

We respond to grant requests from community organizations that build a foundation of economic freedom in young people (See our Geographic Focus, Areas of Interest and Promising Projects).

We proactively address our mission by using our board and staff’s ideas for fostering economic freedom (See our Current Programs and Annual Report).

An Update on Dekko Foundation Grantmaking

During the past year our grantmaking ability was decreased by the financial slowdown that affected our country and world.  We are seeing some increase in our current ability to invest in community projects, but we want to be clear that our grantmaking ability remains less than in the past.

If you are considering sending a grant request for support of a new program, the expansion of an existing program or a building project, please take the time to call us before you apply. We will be happy to discuss our current grantmaking environment and offer an array of resources and support to help strengthen your request and/or prepare your organization for success as economic conditions improve.
