Promising Projects

We have recently approved the following grants which we think hold strong promise for accomplishing our mission.  As you use this resource please notice that many different types of things are purchased with grant support from the Dekko Foundation.  What is most important is the IMPACT that is expected as a result of the grant investment.

Help teachers and school staff understand what it’s like to grow up, and live, in poverty.  In the long run, they’ll do a better job of meeting the needs of children from poor families.

Adults from the school’s media center and the town’s library meet at lunchtime with students.  They’re feeding students’ interest in reading for pleasure through lively conversation.
