Promising Projects
We have recently approved the following grants which we believe hold strong promise for meeting our objectives.In using this resource please notice that many different types of things are purchased with grants from the Dekko Foundation. What is considered most important is the impact that is expected as a result of the grant.
Sustaining Youth-Serving, Asset Building Organizations:

| $16,000 | Youth as philanthropic ambassadors. | Young people will be exposed to philanthropic leaders. Communities will establish youth/adult philanthropic partnerships. |
| $180,000 in the form of a pledge if they can secure the balance needed to complete their project. | Construction of a Horse and Pony Club barn at a 4-H Fairgrounds. | Development of personal responsibility in young people. Adults will model integrity. Young people will build their responsibility to their 4-H as a life lesson for future interaction. |
| $7,500 | Support of “The Amish Youth Vision Project.” | This program helps sheltered Amish young people to understand the dangers of drugs and alcohol. Helps parents of Amish youth understand the dangers and consequences their children face. Gives parents strategies for communication with their children. |
| $24,000 in the form of a pledge if they can secure the balance needed to complete the project. | Renovation of a community teen center. | Young people will perceive that adults in the community value youth. Young people will learn how to plan ahead and make choices. |
