                  Practice

Middle childhood, ages 6-12, is when young people
are intensely focused on figuring things out for
themselves. When it comes to their physical
development, they’re getting faster, stronger, more
coordinated. Intellectually, they’re choosing to take
deep dives in the things that interest them, and
they’re seeking out answers to the questions that
keep bubbling up inside their heads. Socially and
                  emotionally, they’re becoming more self-assured
and self-reliant, but they still need the support and
                  guidance of their parents.
